1. Improper Disposal π₯€
Improper disposal of plastic waste is a significant contributor to its spread. When plastic items are not disposed of correctly, they can end up in landfills, water bodies, or open areas, leading to environmental pollution.
2. Littering ποΈ
Discarding plastic items in public spaces, such as streets, parks, and beaches, contributes to the spread of plastic. Wind and water can transport the littered plastic to different locations, allowing it to spread far and wide.
3. Ocean Currents π
Once plastic waste reaches the oceans, it can be transported over long distances by ocean currents. This leads to the global distribution of plastic pollution, affecting even remote and uninhabited areas.
Its Pretty Straight Forward
The Plastic cup you threw on the ground maybe now in your belly ( just an example ) How? you may ask... the wind carries the small plastic things like a small plastic cup and it can land on a river or the sea, not becuase there is already so many plastic things like daiper and trash bins ( Yeah They are made of plastic aren't they? ), So Fish and other animals like cows or chickens may eat it thinking its food and there you have it, you have your fish not knowing that it may have / had eaten your trash bin once ( again, just a example ) See The Image Below, you Will understand it.
